Available to Public for Research
Research on the county's past is now at you fingertips when you access the wealth of information in these files now available on a dedicated computer at the GCHS Museum. In addition to 1,614 digitized historical photographs, there is an Excel spreadsheet containing detailed historical information about each image, recordings of oral history about the images by historian Don Lunt, and transcripts of those interviews. An interactive map is available to help orient the user to the places shown. Instructions for using the map and spreadsheet are available to ensure that the user has full access to the collection.
Working knowledge of Excel is highly recommended.
